I need some advice....I am running the Indy marathon this Saturday. My current running shoes (Mizuno Wave Inspires) have crashed on me this week. I can tell the padding is going fast. They are only 3 1/2 months old (they usually last me another month). Should I wear new shoes or keep with the broken in ones? |

I have run marathons in new shoes twice without problems. I get the exact same shoes. I usually try to break them in a few miles, but once there was no time. I would rather run in nice fresh shoes and take the chance on a blister. Also Corey it's not the months that you have the shoes it is the number of miles they have on them. You have been doing a lot of mileage lately. Good Luck in Indy! |

i agree with lori- if you get them quick (like tomorrow?) you could put 4 or 5 slow miles on them just to be sure they are not a random pair with some issues... |

Thanks! I bought new shoes Tuesday evening and have been wearing them EVERYWHERE, so hopefully all will be good for tomorrow. Thanks for the advice! |
